Why flagpole solar lights are the best option for lighting your pole
Looking for a way to showcase your flagpole during the night? Our solar light is easy to install, and looks great on your pole! We’ve put together a video to highlight the solar light’s features, and why you might consider purchasing this product.
Why light your flagpole?
Although it’s not part of the Canadian flag code that your flag must be lit at night, there are some who feel it’s a sign of respect to have the flag visible at all times. For others, lighting their flag at night is simply an aesthetic choice because they appreciate how it looks.
Why a solar light is the best solution
Clear, direct light: Some people choose to use floor spotlights to light their flagpole, but since light dissipates from the source, the flag on taller flagpoles may not be lit the way you would like.
No wires or use of electricity: If you install floor spotlights, you need to power them somehow. This either results in a complicated install, or wires crossing your lawn that could become hazardous.
Environmentally-friendly and convenient: Solar lights are powered through solar panels which charge the reusable batteries. This means no wasted batteries, and no need to use el
ectricity to charge.
Light sensors to turn on automatically at night: With the light sensor turning the lights on automatically at night, you have the convenience of never needing to remember to turn the lights on yourself!
Easy to install, and looks great: The installation process for this solar light will only take you 5 minutes, and the final product is nearly invisible during the day, but highlights your pole’s features at night. (More install directions below).
How does the solar light work?
The Titan solar light is installed at the top of your flagpole, so you’re guaranteed to get a great visual when the LED’s turn on during the night.
Our solar lights are powered by solar energy through solar panels. This means it is a green and environment-friendly product. There are four AA Ni-Cd rechargeable batteries included in the light which are charged by the panels as they convert sunlight into electrical energy.
There is a light sensor that turns on the light automatically at night. After a full day of charging, these super-bright LED’s can work up to eight hours through the night!
INSTRUCTIONS:
- To prolong their life, the batteries are packed separately and are not pre-installed in the solar light. Remove the two battery doors with a small Phillips-head screwdriver, insert the batteries and replace the battery doors.
- Unscrew the ornament from the top of your flagpole, place the solar light on top of the flagpole, with the solar collecting panels facing up, and replace the ornament. See illustration.
PRECAUTIONS
- Do not touch the surface of the solar collecting panels.
- You can check the operation of the light by simply covering the solar panels completely to activate the light sensor. We suggest that you test the light in this manner before you install the light on the flagpole.
- Remember that the light is designed to work when it is dark. If there is high ambient lighting nearby then the LED’s may be very dim or not turned on at all.
- Although the batteries have been charged by the manufacturer, the power level will probably have dropped when you receive them. Please fully charge the Solar light for two days in bright sunlight to realize maximum performance.
